If approved work will be carried out during normal daytime working hours – 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with appropriate restrictions in place regarding public services and access ways. In exceptional circumstances work may be planned at weekends.

Limited temporary traffic closures and road diversions may be required and will be agreed with local landowners – and the local highways authority will be notified during the construction process.

Traffic impacts on the A20, Church Lane, Stone Street, B2068, Ashford Road, B2065, Newington Road, Kennett Lane and Bluehouse Lane will be short-term, with traffic management and monitoring measures in place to ensure road safety and amenity are not adversely affected.

Plans have been put in place so that should Operation Stack be set up on the M20, any works on the A20 can be quickly and easily removed and the road allowed to operate normally.
